Eisschock is a female soloproject, which captivates through contrasts. On the one hand, the performer has a fascinating, cold dominance and inaccessibility. On the other hand, she shows a warm, empathic presence and a heightened sensibility. Elegant, she unites these seeming contrasts for a harmonious overall impression. These combined elements create the unique style of Eisschock.

I agree that, from a progressive Euro-centric point of view, a New Renaissance is needed to salvage the dream that may yet be possible for the U.S.  But most people of color can not be "reborn" until they are completely and openly borne into the cultural and civic life of the country.

"Amerispanic is not exclusive to any particular color."

No longer just an "exotic spice" -- to be (reluctantly?) added to the blanched muddling of Anglo/German orderliness.  We must experience a real integration of body, soul and spirit into the US/American psyche.

"Integration will happen, despite the claim of some that it is not."

A term like "Amerispanic" must also epitomize Indians, Blacks and Asians.  But I don't think it can.

"The term `American' can do a better job at what you suggest"

This apparent reconciliation of Anglo/Iberian historical destiny must now also include everyone we share this country with.

"In 200 years, this will be the case."

It is still an uneasy mixing of Indian, Black and/or Asian in so-called Hispanic countries now.

"What better way to end the uneasiness than to all become Amerispanics"

Baggage can not simply be forgotten.  Nor should it.

"Baggage can prevent progress if too heavy."

It may be necessary for some to "lose" their culture (even if they never had it) in order to initiate the creation of a new one.

"Already happening, huge differences in my culture than that of my grandfathers."

It is the "squabbles" which unconsciously tie us all together.  When one tires of making war, they can begin to make love.

"Perhaps Amerispanics will accomplish this."

This reminds me of the idea of a Raza Cósmica or cosmic race by Jose Vasconcelos. The incorporation and integration of all races, such as it is seen in the Americas (US, Mexico, Central and South america). Here we have a mixture of Afro, Euro, Indio(native), and Asian ethnicities and backgrounds that can help to improve the Raza Cósmica.  Mendelian principle states that by the introduction of diversity into the gene pool, the entire pool gets "hybrid vigor" or the condition of being stronger.

"Genetic race is merely geographical adaptation and isolation. Many races no longer live in geographic areas they were adapted to, nor do they remain isolated."
